    As a creative person, I have always found myself dabbling in all areas--working with my hands & keeping my eyes open to all of God's beauty that surrounds us. I have discovered my true passion in storytelling and photography.  I also enjoy crafts & love all things in nature and tinker in the garden, trying to incorporate planting and crafty ideas into my yard and home .      

   A child at heart, I love to weave spontaneously created, interactive stories with children in a school or library settings.  I started telling stories when my daughter was just a little thing, begging me to read 'one more story'.  I grew tired of reading the same old thing over and over, and decided to spin a yarn using her favorite characters.  One thing lead to another and I  found myself not only telling my daughter stories, but creating my own characters and sharing stories with my daughter's classmates.  Then I spread my wings and once I told stories to most of the school, I finally started sharing my stories at the local library with preschoolers. 

     As a Sunday school substitute helper and teacher at church, I was able to work with children from K-3rd grade.  In the past I has been lead teacher, but I have taken a bit of a sabbatical for a number of years. Now I am helping the teachers with crafts.

     I am nearly finished editing a science fiction chapter book for 10-15+ year-olds and am hoping to have it to the publisher by October, 2013!  I will let you know as soon as it comes off the press (just let me know you're interested)!

    My photography originally grew out of a love for nature, wanting to capture everything I saw and keep it for myself.  I loved to experiment with whatever camera I had at the time (Swinger, Instamatic, my first SLR, now a digital camera) --and I still do...experiment, that is!  I found  lugging my camera around to the places I have traveled  has been quite rewarding and  now I want to share what I has seen with you.  I am sure you'll find something you'd like to hang on the wall or perhaps use as your stationery!
