Secrets Beyond Scymaria

Where it all begins ... Secrets Beyond Scymaria is an engaging read for all ages, with many unexpected twists and turns. In addition to dealing with troublesome classmates and a sinister professor, Amy and Ty discover and befriend a strange creature who happens to be the guardian for a portal to another world. They realise they have some talents they must learn to use properly as they barrel headlong into their adventures.  

Book Two:
Warriors of the Forest

The discoveries unfolding within...
Second in the fantasy series, Secrets Beyond Scymaria: Warriors of the Forest continues the adventures of Amy and Ty as more problems crop up with their classmates and the professor returns to add even more grief to their lives. Their newfound friend invites them on an adventure through the portal into his world, but events unfolding could trap them in this new world if they don’t act fast.

Book Three:
The Scymarian

Book three in the Secrets Beyond Scymaria series holds more adventures, mysteries and drama as the two continue to explore their friend's world.  The professor creates mayhem and anguish, but the two must perservere and find a way to reconcile their feelings. 

 
Coming Soon:
Mischiefmaker

Amy and Ty's visits to the other world become more frequent now that school is out. They discover a drastic change in an old aquaintance and new information surfaces that draws the three of them closer than Ty would like as they continue their adventures. Suddenly, Amy feels a need to cross over to the other world without their friend's permission.

I am hoping Book Four will be available soon.

Reviews help other readers decide which books they'll find interesting. Any reviews—good or bad will be gratefully appreciated (honestly ... I want to know what you thought about it ... if I'm doing things right, or if I need to make changes to make it better for my readers).

Storytelling and Personalized 

Storybooks

AS A STORYTELLER, I come into the classroom or library to explore the creation of  a spontaneous story with the aid of the students. They supply me with names and descriptive words, then I take all of that information and weave together a short story (approx 15 min) for them. Please contact us for availability.

AS A WRITER, in addition to my fantasy series, I create short stories for individuals drawing upon a form that has been completed with personalised information. I then print and bind the personalised story for the individual, sometimes including photos provided by the parents/relatives. As these take 6-10 weeks to create, please contact us for availability.

 NaNoWriMo:  November 1 - 30. 
For those that are wondering what the acronym stands for: National Novel Writing Month. 
A full thirty days of Literary Abandon. 

I am proud to say, just like in 2012, I have been able to complete my 50,000 words within the 30 days of November for so many years—not every year, but many.  I've been excited to achieve this goal. The singular focus of the month helped me work my labor of love—my first ever published book (and continued series)—and each year garners a plethora of ideas for even more. Though I didn't achieve the lofty goal in 2014-16 and 2021, it continues to help me focus on the task at hand. I've managed to garner many thousands of words towards my next book each year!

So, if you love writing and have not heard of this yet, go to my Services link and read the sidebar or go directly to NaNoWriMo.org to learn more!  Gear up to join in on the fun for 2022—I'll continue with book five (working title is Catalyst)!
